How often do you get invited to present at the iconic Sydney Opera House?!
I was fortunate enough to attend and present at the Wi-Fi Design Day in Sydney organised by Ekahau and Dicker Data. It was rewarding to see how the event grew for it’s second year (which I had the pleasure of helping organise inaugural WDD Sydney in 2018 when I worked at Ekahau). I would like to thank and congratulate Grant & the Ekahau team, Darko & the Dicker Data team for organising a great event. The audience seemed to get a lot of value out of the presentations and networking opportunities, and that is what it is all about!
François Vergès (@VergesFrancois) and I presented a Wi-Fi 6 Power Hour where I provided a deep-dive on the key features of 802.11ax/Wi-Fi 6, and François covered design considerations. We finished up with a demo using François’ Jetson Nano for packet capturing and audience participation for 802.11ax client SpeedTests on my Mist AP43.
We were able to show some trigger frames and HE_SU data frames, and the audience got to see OFDMA operating on the spectrum thanks to the Ekahau Sidekick Real Time Frequency Monitor (RFTM). Keep an eye out on François’ blog for some analysis of the frames.

The video recordings should be available soon, so keep an eye out on the Ekaha website/Twitter/YouTube. Let me know if you have any questions!
